National Finance Bank (1822 - 1832)

Here you can see the first Greek banknotes. During the Greek revolution of 1821 the provisional administration of Greece issued bond in Turkish grossi something similar to the French assignats 30 years ago.
The real first Greek banknotes are the Phoenix issued by the governor John Kapodistrias in 1831.
